Dr. William Hefley is a preferred provider for most major health plans serving the Arkansas region. Please contact your insurance company or you may call our office at (800) 336-2412 to find out if we accept your insurance plan.
If your insurance plan requires you to pay a co-payment, co-insurance, and/or a deductible, you will need to pay at the time of your visit. For your convenience we accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and CareCredit.

If your insurance is an HMO/managed care plan and you are required to obtain a referral from your primary care physician, the referral must be obtained before you can be seen for an office visit.
Please coordinate this with your primary care physician in advance. Appointments will be rescheduled if required referrals are not received in the office by the time of your visit.
Dr. Hefley is affiliated exclusively with Arkansas Surgical Hospital (ASH), where they pride themselves on low infection rates. In fact, ASH’s infection rate is 20 times lower than the national average experienced at other hospitals.
Arkansas Surgical Hospital has won numerous awards for joint replacement surgery over the years, and has consistently ranked in the top tiers of patient reviews conducted by independent organizations across multiple dimensions of care.

Prescriptions and refills for established patients of Dr. Hefley are routinely issued Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm. You can make your request for a prescription refill by calling our office at (800) 336-2412.
No refills are issued during the evenings, weekends, or holidays, as the doctor does not have access to your medical records during those times. It is helpful to anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy.
